Summer almost put in an appearance at Nonington, at Stragglers shrugged off the awful weather, welcomed an itinerant Parry back from the Welsh Marches, and put in a sound bowling performance. Harry Pattinson led the charge, posting an excellent 6 for 21, as Nonington were dismissed for 178. Catches were held, stumpings taken, all boded well.

A very gettable target, however, proved too much for what was a very powerful batting unit on paper. Sadly the power remained on paper, and failed to make it too the middle. A steady procession returned all too soon, with only four making it too double figures and a top score of 18. The chase fizzled out at 102.
