The fixture against the Standard Athletic Club, Paris at Belmont on Sunday 30th May, is to be played in memory of Toby Cox. Toby will be familiar to Stragglers of all ages for his enthusiastic flourishes with the bat, and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Toby played cricket with the SAC, while in Paris, and it is fitting that this game, played between many of his friends, should be taken as an opportunity to celebrate one of his passions.
The game is due to start at 2.15pm, and both sides would welcome supporters for the fixture at this lovely ground. I look forward to seeing many members at Belmont.
