The wind on top of the hill at Belmont threatened to derail the storming start to the 2011 season, but in the end it was a whirlwind century from Jasper that proved decisive. Huge conficence was shown in the Straggler batting, when Matt inserted the SAC, and he had to ward off those of little faith, when SAC were rattling along at over 8 an over. Confidence was duly rewarded by Jasper and the Blackcat Batman who put on 183 for the second wicket. The middle order still contrived a collpase of sorts, but the good work could not be undone. Four wins in four, and five on the bounce, if you include Hollingbourne at the end of 2010 – unheard of.
