Straggler juggernaut rolls on with a fielding master class

Aug 21, 2012

As England are only too aware, dropping catches can be costly. The converse, particularly when the most remarkable chances are taken, puts you very firmly in control. In an increasingly forlorn chase of the Straggler 288 at Goodnestone (Archie with 112), Wickham and Stodmarsh could do little but admire a stunning pick up and direct hit by Robby George to start the fielding display. This was followed in quick succession by catches high, low and one handed by Goose, Archie (2) and Toby respectively. When Justin snaffled the last with the score on 94, the Stragglers had posted their second highest ever margin of vistory – 194.
